Biography
My name is Chideha Charles Blount Warner. I was born November 16, 1977 in Brian, Texas. I spent the first five years of my life in Texas until my family moved to Decatur, Georgia. My most memorable childhood experiences were in Decatur where I attended grade school at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School and played baseball.
At a young age, I had a passion for acting. I would entertain my classmates at recess, during school assemblies, and after school. When my family moved to Baton Rouge in 1992, I began high school at Louisiana State University Laboratory School. I continued to excel in sports.
I was all-district in football and baseball, captain of the baseball team, and recipient of the Golden Glove Award and the Outstanding Award in track. I also performed in skits and for class video productions. After graduating from high school, I enrolled at Grambling State University. While at Grambling, I was a scholar athlete in baseball and joined Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. The first play I did at Grambling, Stadium View, inspired me to become an actor. The director, Carl Norman, became my mentor. In 2001, I graduated cum laude from Grambling State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech and Theatre. I am thankful for my parents, Isiah and Della Warner, and my brothers, Isiah, Jr. and Edward, who have been supportive and encouraging throughout my life.
